05:16 pm Thought for this month:
Religion is the art of what is real but cannot be proven. Science is the art of what can be proven, but isn't real.
I Am A: Lawful Good Elf Mage Bard
Alignment: Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.
Race: Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.
Primary Class: Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.
Secondary Class: Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Deity: Mystra is the Neutral Good goddess of magic. She is also known as the Lady of Mysteries. Followers of Mystra wear armor and carry shields with her symbol on them. Mystra's symbol is a ring of stars.

Dear *******:
Thank you for applying to Stanford University's Department of Electrical Engineering Graduate Program. With regret I must inform you the Graduate Admissions Committee, after careful review of your application, was unable to admit you for graduate study.
Each year the number of applicants seeking admission to our Department exceeds by many times the number of available openings. The competition for admission is extremely intense as there are many exceptional students among the applicants.
I wish you every success in satisfying your educational and career goals.
Sincerely,
******** Chair, Admissions Committee

10:42 pm - A lone [?] [?] walks into a room. Even though conversation carries on, it is subtle noise for only noise's sake. Meant to drown the sound of eyes wondering to the entrance. The ears took note when the door closed, and eyes glance to observe the newcomer, faking a casual care of [?]'s transition into the room.
Describe [?] Why do the people take note of [?]
In Improv, one of my favorite exorcises was the silent movie exercise. Three people would go through a scene without making a noise. At the end, each person would relate what they saw happening in the scene. It is always amusing to see how the stories progress.
I have learned that people often project aspects of themselves on any situation where they control the interactions. I am curious, loyal readers, did you picture yourself in the place of [?]. And did your own fears / desires project themselves onto why everyone was staring at [?]. Even if you don't feel inclined to write a response, please take the time to think why you chose the characters in the above story.

This is designed to be taken from your character's point of view: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20001222b
Lawful Neutral
A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs her. Order and organization are paramount to her. She may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or she may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government. The common phrase for lawful neutral is "true lawful." Lawful neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you are reliable and honorable without being a zealot.

12:50 am - Monkeys and typewriters It has been said that a million monkeys banging on a million typewriters will eventually produce the works of Shakespeare. The internet has proven this is not true. But there are shining examples of greatness that can be found out there.
An Aussie band caled TISM ("This is serious, Mum") held a contest. This contest was to create a music video for their song "Everyone Else Has Had More Sex Than Me". The below is a link to the winning entry in its flash form. The song itself is a wonderful work of art with great music and poetic lyrics. The flash created for the song is a masterpiece. Most flash you see is simply a JPEG set to move around the stage (the viewing area), or a small handfull of vector drawings treated with the same irreverence. Rarely do you see actual vector animation. (http://www.homestarunner.com is another great example of flash ANIMATION)

[lyrics] Everyone else has had more sex than me Does anyone else get that feeling? Teenagers, naked, couple in threes; Grandparents swing from the ceiling; Corporate capers and office amour; Shenanigans outdoor and in - Resist, and then later you find out there's more Regret in not doing the sin.
All loves have to die - of that there's no help; My favourite way to end em' Is the orb-weaver spider's, whose pedipalp Enters the female pudendum, Then dies on the spot, his corpse there still stuck, Left for his rivals to curse it. He would rather die than not get to fuck: Personally, I reckon it's worth it. [/lyrics]
I enjoy good animation. Here's my heiarchy of animation quality by associated sphere of influence: Japan America Canada Britain Internet Hobbyists
If anyone has links to quality animation out there in that vast internet, please post them.
